The Spike-do's

I had to put these pictures up of the boys with the spike-do's their dad gave them!
Hunter now wants me to spike his hair up every day! We've had a lazy weekend with dad gone, I even got to do some scrapbooking! I have 3 great snugglers who keep me company when daddy is away. Last night they were all snuggled up so sweetly I had to take a picture. I pray they will always be best buddies!

She was cute she said "Mom, Im just happy for everyone that won, and I had fun doing it!"I was so very proud of all three of them they are my champions!!

Happy Birthday Babies!

February is busy with Birthdays! My Avery turned 9, I cant believe it! And my Peyton turned 7, time sure flies when your having fun!!!This year I attempted to make their cakes again. I started with Peytons, I spent 2 hours decorating her 2 tiered square Littlest Pet shop cake. I sat it outside on a nice flat pile of snow while I started on Averys. When I went out to bring it inside, it had slid off of the suburban and splattered on the drive. I woke Heath up-like I thought he could save it or something! He was sweet he got up and went out and tried to recover it. It was a lost cause! I was so tired I stood there making some really sad crying sounds but no tears would come. Heath had a great idea, he said dont worry babe Peyton will love an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. After that, I just didnt have it in me to put too much work into Averys Mario cake, but he was happy with what I did do.
On there Birthdays we always pull out there baby photos and I tell them all about the day they were born. Oh how God has blessed me with my beautiful children! Im so thankful that 9 and 7 years ago he picked me to be Avery and Peytons Mom!!

My Ring!

On January the 10th Heath and I celebrated 11 wonderful years together!!! I think I say this every year but just when I think we've had the best year yet, we have another year together!! For our anniversary we went to dinner at Applebees and he surprised me with a beautiful diamond ring!! He and the kids picked it out and I just love it! I feel really special because he sold one of his guns to get it for me. I am truly blessed with the most precious man on this earth!

our snow day

Finally the weather was warm enough (40 degrees) to drive into the mountains and play in the snow. The mountains and trees breathtakingly beautiful as always!Im continually in awe of my Father God and the never ending beauty He places all around us! I could never get tired of the view here in Montana! Only subzero temperatures drive me a little crazy every now and then! My hubby built us a fire, and the sledding began! I sat in the snow and took no less than a hundred pictures of my family eating snow, playing and laughing! And of course I got in there and played too! SO much in fact that I couldn't move for a few days. I owe it all to the snow ramp that Heath and Avery built at the bottom of our grand hill. I think I flew atleast 4 ft in the air-that was the fun part then I landed! What was I thinking!! Well I wasn't- that's for sure! But we live and we learn-right! I sure hope so! lol!

Grandpapa and Ggs visit!

It was such fun having Grandpapa and Gg for Christmas! They arrived at 1pm and we waited for them to start Christmas. Which wasnt hard since we stayed up all night playing and slept till noon. The kids were thrilled when they walked in the door!! The greatest Christmas present of all! Avery read the Christmas story from the Bible, then we opened gifts. Grandpapa and Gg got us a Wii-which is just a total blast for the whole family! We were all compleatly spoiled with gifts! Then our dear friends(family really!)Derrick and Erin and there children joined us for a Christmas feast. It was cold and snowy outside! It was a perfect Christmas! Time always flys when your having fun! So there visit flew by! It did warm up for us to go play in the snow- we went sledding at our favorite park. And Hunter Kent managed to sled into the icy cold river. Grandpapa pulled him out quickly! I had no idea he would go in so I was snapping pictures as he was sliding down the hill, then right before my eyes-he dissapeared over the ledge into the water.I came running down that hill like a screaming maniac of course! Thankfully God is always taking care of my children-He has put His mighty angels around them to protect them in all that they do! After we got Hunter warm and changed he was ready to sled again!
It was hard saying goodbye to our Grandpapa and GG!!Hopefully theyll come again soon!

Countdown to Christmas!

Only 2 days till Christmas!(Cringe!I dont like the Christmas countdown-especially at the very end. Because what that means to me, is in 3 days it will all be over!) It would be so nice if Christmas lasted a whole week instead of just one day!! And let me tell you this, baby it's absolutely freezing outside! Its been -20 degrees all week! Although its so beautiful to watch those giant snowflakes pour out of the sky, its just too cold to go out and play in it! So it's been days of being inside-drinking hot cocoa, homeschooling and Christmas projects, visits with my dear friend Erin, playing, fighting, and plenty of Christmas movies(love the hallmark channel!) And speaking of Christmas movies my darling Hunter Kent, 4 years old, just had to stick his tongue onto our frozen front door-well it stuck and he ripped it off-and let me just tell you that little tongue can really bleed like crazy. He ripped the top layer right off!My poor little guy! Hopefully he wont ever do that again!
Im so excited my Dad and Mom are coming for Christmas!(the secret I wasnt sapposed to find out!)But Heath cracked under pressure!lol! So Im cleaning and getting everything ready! I hope your enjoying the most wonderful time of the year! Im so greatful beyond words for that precious Babe born over 2 thousand years ago! Happy Birthday my Jesus! May the birth of our Lord and Savior be at the center of everything you do this Christmas! I hope you have the most amazing Christmas ever!
Love and Blessings! Jolena

My little ballerina

Peyton had her ballet Christmas performance at a nursing home last night. She asked me what a nursing home was...so I told her it was a home full of grandpas and grandmas who needed special care, who were probably lonely and could really use a smile at Christmas! Then she was really excited to go and dance for them. She got to wear makeup which made her whole day! She forgot lots of parts of her dance but she remembered all the words to the song!(Holly Jolly Christmas) and of course she was the most adorable girl up there !!lol! Avery, Hunter and I were so proud of her!

We had such a wonderful visit with Emaw and Papa! It just never seems long enough. We didnt do much, but sometimes its fun to just be lazy together. We did sneak in a few quick hunting trips though not as eventful as in times past. We celebrated Thanksgiving, with much to be thankful for!! Jesus, our family, friends, our troops!! We even managed to go shopping at 3am on black Friday! I dont think I bought that much because I was sleepwalking! But i did go and I had great company, Mom and my sweet friend Joanna. As always it was very sad to say goodbye, the hardest part of being in the military!
