My buck

Well, I had dreams of shooting a big Montana monster buck and an elk this year. After walking miles and miles, climbing mountains and hills, low crawling through cactus, on the last day at the end of the day I settled for this muley buck. He is better than nothing, but I did cry like a baby because he wasn't nearly as big as what I wanted!!lol! Maybe next year will be better for this girl!! (or maybe Ill just have to get a new guide!lol!!) Not really!! I am so blessed to hunt with my best friend!! He is also an incredible pack mule and butcher!!LOL!

Blessings to yall! j

Its a crazy life!! But I love it!

The Air force decided to remodel our house so after 10 years we had to move across the base. I knew it wasn't going to be fun! But I really had no idea how much work it really would be! I don't think Ive ever done anything more exhausting in my whole life!!! We moved over 35 thousand pounds of furniture and stuff into our much smaller brand new home!!! We were so blessed with friends who came and helped us and friends who let us barrow a truck and a trailer (there were no moving trucks available for us to even rent) It took us 11 days, from the time we woke up until we collapsed with exhaustion to get all of our stuff out of that home with 3 children in the middle of it all!! Then we began the process of cleaning our house up to military standards!! Several dear sweet people from church came to help including Pastor Pam! They scrubbed cabinets, floors, walls, bathrooms and toilets !! I must say I was horrified! and humbled! And so very, very grateful!!! We are in our new home and the 2 car garage is full from the floor to the ceiling with boxes and furniture!! I'm not sure that we will ever get out of boxes!! Now that we are into the Christmas season we have our tree and decorations up and we are determined to make this season special with our kiddos!! So we have been enjoying Christmas movies, crafts, games, yummy food, snuggling, stories of that precious babe in a manger!! Our Jesus the reason we celebrate!! In the midst of whatever craziness is going on in each of our lives, may we keep our focus on Jesus!! Its all about Him!!

Our October 31!

Its October 31st, the Adams family ran a bean bag toss and handed out loads and loads of candy at the mall. It was lots of fun being a blessing to our community!! And I don't think I've ever seen the mall so packed full of people. It was all a little overwhelming at first for our youngest Hunter, so he hid under our candy table, under the table cloth. But by the end of the night he was stuffing baskets and bags full of candy with the rest of us!! Hunter wanted his face painted like sonic the hedge hog-(a difficult task!) he had rubbed most of his face paint off itching by the time I snapped these pictures!! Then there was an hour left of trick or treating on base-so they had fun getting some treats and even hot dogs tonight as well!! A very blessed night!! Thank you God!!
Blessings to yall!!! Jolena

Mix Match!

At church on Wednesday night it was mix match night for the kids. Heath and I had a ball dressing the kids as awful as possible!! Peyton and Avery were all for it, Hunter however said "no way!" My little Miss Peyton won the contest! She was super excited about winning her $10.00 gift card to Target! As bad as she was dressed, she still is the prettiest little girl in the whole world!!(to me, anyways!lol!) OK, really! Aren't they all just stinking cute!!
Happy Fall!! or Winter for us (see the snow behind the kids!lol!)Blessings! Jolena

Just a few pictures of my gorgeous family!! My Peyton and I went to a wedding together-she loved every minute of it! The boys joined us for the reception and I had to smile as she told them her favorite parts of the wedding-her most favorite that she had fun saying all day long-"and you may kiss the bride!" After such a lovely wedding she already at the age of 7 cant wait for her wedding day!! Its funny how a little girl dreams of the day her prince will come-then of a fairytale wedding-and a happily ever after!!Of course her Daddy cant even think or speak of such things!!lol!

In July we were so blessed with a very special visit from our Nebraska family! GG/Angie, Nana, Tori and Ali (sadly Josh couldn't come!!) they drove all the way from Omaha to visit the crazy Adams family! Yeah! I feel really special when they drove 16 or so hours to visit us! We had loads of fun playing, lots of silliness and giggles, and of course with 5 children plenty of drama-lol!, swimming, painting toe-nails, fixing hair, listening and singing along to Hill songs Kids Worship!! Starbucks, matching shirts and pj's, crazy kids shopping spree at Walmart (thanks to precious Papa!who also couldn't come!) playing in the mountains-(adventures with Daddy/Uncle Heath-fishing-turtles, snakes, and frogs!), trying to take pictures of it all!just being together was such fun! I'm so grateful that God has placed our lives together!!! How special they are to us all! Thank you with all my heart for your visit!!!

the cutest mannquins ever!

Since Old Navy started making commercials with their mannequins talking, my children have been fascinated with them. Now when we go to Old Navy they want to pretend to be mannequins. Its funny for once they were saying "Mom, take our picture". My kids totally crack me up!!(can you find them?)

{First Fracture!!!}

So we were playing at the park and I had 4 extra children with me and my 3 {yes I did this for fun!}And 7 children getting into a car plus the dog can be really crazy!! I opened one door and told the kids to come and get in-but Peyton and her friend decided to get in on the other side. I was standing there fussing at Peyton for opening the other door. And I told her to just get in and I would come around and close it when she rared back with both hands and slammed it{thats when I heard my little Hunter scream-very loudly!!} I was screaming too as I ran around the van like a crazy woman!! Peyton had managed to open the door up as I reached Hunter. I took him in my arms and held him and prayed!! Got everyone in, held Hunter in my lap{I know I broke the law!!} drove to one house dropped 2 kids off, drove to another house dropped 2 more off, then quickly to my house and put the puppy in his kennel, in a full sprint I grabbed tylonol and an icepack. At this point I put Hunter in his car seat, Me, Avery and Peyton were all crying and praying for Hunter by this time as his sreaming and crying in pain never ceased, we raced him to the e.r. where they did x rays and told us he has a fractured thumb!! My baby!!-a fractured thumb!!!(they loaded him up with motrin-which made him feel lots better) His sister was feeling really awful!! At first he was so mad at her-then he forgave her-but told her not to touch him-ever!! By the end of the night they were snuggled up on the couch and she was giving him all the attention he could ever want from his sister. Daddy came home at midnight and that really made it better! Right now I think hes rather enjoying all the attention and pampering he's getting from his whole family!! Im so thankful it was just his thumb (not his hand, arm or head!!) God is good!!

Peytons Dance Recital

This week was a very busy week. Saturday night was Peyton big dance recital. She was was so ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!! She told me "Mom I loved every minute of being up on stage!" (silly girl!she does not get that from her mom or dad!)We had dance practice every night this week. On Friday they had their dress rehearsal-I recorded a few clips from that. They wouldn't let us record the actual dance recital because they want us to spend 35.00 and buy it. We are done for the summer(and shuuu! I'm so glad the recital craziness is over!(atleast until next year!)

spring snow storm

<

Well it was the end of April and we had 2 really nice days in the 70's we had so much fun playing outside, we fed the ducks, we played tennis, we went for walks, we ate outside we only went inside to sleep-it was just that wonderful! Then it was just crazy-it got cool and started snowing-and snowing-and snowing...... 2ft of the stuff! And people complain about global warming!lol! My children had a ball playing in it though-they are good at finding the bright side of things!!! I laughed so hard at my Peyton Blaise-she was outside laying in it she had her eyes closed because of how much snow was falling, and she was would put her mouth down and get bites of it-this went on for atleast 20 minutes.(until she had to go to the bathroom-lol!) She had no idea I was even taking her picture because her eyes were closed the entire time! Avery chose to lay on his back with his eyes covered catching the snow from the sky! And Hunter played until he was exhausted and layed in the front door and said Mom help me! Im too tired and too cold to take my snow stuff off! The snow has melted now-hopefully we wont see that amount again until next winter/spring!

Sometimes its just really nice to get out of town! We went to Billings for a few days.(We found out our Peytie had strep throat when we got there! She still had fun.(just not as much as the boys!)she just needed lots of extra snuggling and pampering! Our hotel had 2 big water slides! So we played at the pool and ate and rested! It was nice to go eat at our favorite places-Red Lobster and Olive Garden. Our little Hunter can put the sea food away like his Daddy! And Avery enjoys fish only.(he says "just like Jesus did!" ( my cute boy!))Peyton wont touch any of it-she stuck to her salad and baked potato (I was surprised she wanted to eat at all!)Then we drove home in the snow and wind!(gotta love spring in Montana!)We have just been so spoiled to have Heath home with us and off work for the last 15 days! Today we have to get back to life as usual as he heads off for his 5 days away! Time to scrapbook!!!

A perfect day in the mountains!

On Saturday we went to the mountains to play. It was such a beautiful day. When we got there I was really sleepy so I was going to take a little nap in the van, I was almost asleep when my hubby came and got me and said he wanted to show me something. I didn't have a very good attitude about it but I followed him anyway. He was such a sweetie and had hung a hammock up for me to nap in. I took the best nap ever,I slept for several hours-it was heavenly!! They played and fished in the half frozen stream right beside me. There giggles and laughter filled my dreams. They caught several different types of small trout and cooked them up and ate them. I did wake up in time to watch them catch some fish and of course I had time to take some pictures! My Avery said it so well "Mom-these mountains God made for us are just so beautiful-I'll never get tired of looking at them!" I cherish these moments together and give praises to my God for giving me such an amazing family and life!

Happy Birthday Babies!

February is busy with Birthdays! My Avery turned 9, I cant believe it! And my Peyton turned 7, time sure flies when your having fun!!!This year I attempted to make their cakes again. I started with Peytons, I spent 2 hours decorating her 2 tiered square Littlest Pet shop cake. I sat it outside on a nice flat pile of snow while I started on Averys. When I went out to bring it inside, it had slid off of the suburban and splattered on the drive. I woke Heath up-like I thought he could save it or something! He was sweet he got up and went out and tried to recover it. It was a lost cause! I was so tired I stood there making some really sad crying sounds but no tears would come. Heath had a great idea, he said dont worry babe Peyton will love an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. After that, I just didnt have it in me to put too much work into Averys Mario cake, but he was happy with what I did do.
On there Birthdays we always pull out there baby photos and I tell them all about the day they were born. Oh how God has blessed me with my beautiful children! Im so thankful that 9 and 7 years ago he picked me to be Avery and Peytons Mom!!

My Ring!

On January the 10th Heath and I celebrated 11 wonderful years together!!! I think I say this every year but just when I think we've had the best year yet, we have another year together!! For our anniversary we went to dinner at Applebees and he surprised me with a beautiful diamond ring!! He and the kids picked it out and I just love it! I feel really special because he sold one of his guns to get it for me. I am truly blessed with the most precious man on this earth!

our snow day

Finally the weather was warm enough (40 degrees) to drive into the mountains and play in the snow. The mountains and trees breathtakingly beautiful as always!Im continually in awe of my Father God and the never ending beauty He places all around us! I could never get tired of the view here in Montana! Only subzero temperatures drive me a little crazy every now and then! My hubby built us a fire, and the sledding began! I sat in the snow and took no less than a hundred pictures of my family eating snow, playing and laughing! And of course I got in there and played too! SO much in fact that I couldn't move for a few days. I owe it all to the snow ramp that Heath and Avery built at the bottom of our grand hill. I think I flew atleast 4 ft in the air-that was the fun part then I landed! What was I thinking!! Well I wasn't- that's for sure! But we live and we learn-right! I sure hope so! lol!

Grandpapa and Ggs visit!

It was such fun having Grandpapa and Gg for Christmas! They arrived at 1pm and we waited for them to start Christmas. Which wasnt hard since we stayed up all night playing and slept till noon. The kids were thrilled when they walked in the door!! The greatest Christmas present of all! Avery read the Christmas story from the Bible, then we opened gifts. Grandpapa and Gg got us a Wii-which is just a total blast for the whole family! We were all compleatly spoiled with gifts! Then our dear friends(family really!)Derrick and Erin and there children joined us for a Christmas feast. It was cold and snowy outside! It was a perfect Christmas! Time always flys when your having fun! So there visit flew by! It did warm up for us to go play in the snow- we went sledding at our favorite park. And Hunter Kent managed to sled into the icy cold river. Grandpapa pulled him out quickly! I had no idea he would go in so I was snapping pictures as he was sliding down the hill, then right before my eyes-he dissapeared over the ledge into the water.I came running down that hill like a screaming maniac of course! Thankfully God is always taking care of my children-He has put His mighty angels around them to protect them in all that they do! After we got Hunter warm and changed he was ready to sled again!
It was hard saying goodbye to our Grandpapa and GG!!Hopefully theyll come again soon!
